Rust: wipes, Oxide plugins and maps
Wiping on your schedule, installing Oxide, custom maps and server settings.
Wipes
A map wipe deletes the world; a blueprint wipe resets learned blueprints. Run them from the console before a restart, or delete the .map and .sav files in the file manager. Many communities wipe with the monthly forced update.
Oxide / uMod
Oxide is installed as a server type. Switch to it in the startup options, restart, then upload plugins into oxide/plugins. They load without a restart.
Custom maps
Set the map URL in the startup options. The server downloads it on start.
Settings
Server name, description, max players and the seed live in the startup options. Change them, then restart.
Memory
Rust grows with map size and plugin count. If the console reports memory pressure, move up one plan.
