The console, files and SFTP

Console

The console shows what the server is doing in real time and lets you type commands, exactly as if you were sitting at the machine. Use it for admin commands, wipes and to read errors when something does not start.

File manager

Everything the server uses is a file: configs, worlds, plugins, mods. The file manager in the panel lets you browse, edit, upload and download them from the browser. Small edits happen right there.

SFTP

For big uploads such as a whole world or a modpack, use SFTP. Any client works, for example FileZilla or WinSCP. The panel shows the host, port and username; the password is your panel password.

When to restart

Configs are read when the server starts. After editing a config or adding a plugin, restart the server from the panel.
